Organized Groups
All ages love a
little fun and fellowship from time to time! There are
many organized groups in the Lewistown Presbyterian
Church, to which everyone is welcomed.
High-Noon
Fellowship
At noon on the third
Thursday of the month, the Baraca Room is the site of
High-Noon Fellowship.
Come for lunch and be
treated to a special program, too! Advance reservations
are required.
Presbyterian
Women
The Lewistown
Presbyterian Church Women's Association is an active one
and includes the Deborah/Mary Circle, which get together
throughout the year for Bible study meetings. There is
also the Melissa Ann Walking Circle which meets at Rec
Park Monday mornings to walk the track and enjoy the
fellowship of other walkers.
They sponsor special
programs and conduct fund-raising activities, including
the Christmas bazaar ,crafts and others.
Also affiliated with
Presbyterian Women in Huntingdon Presbytery and Church
Women United, they support special missions and the
mission of Presbyterian Women in the Presbyterian Church
(USA).
Presbyterian
Men
Organized for
fellowship, fun and to support the on-going life and work
of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in Lewistown and around
the world, is the Presbyterian Men.
Special projects
include the annual chicken barbecue, decorating the
sanctuary at Christmastime and
breakfasts.
Presby Youth
Fellowship
Students
in Grades 6-12 are encouraged to become active in our
Youth Fellowship. In addition to Sunday night meetings,
Presby Youth participate in special activities and
conduct fund-raisers for a summertime retreat.
Boy
Scouts
The Lewistown
Presbyterian Church is also the home of Troop 4, the
oldest continuously operating Boy Scout troop in America!
Led by Scoutmaster Mark Harpster, the Boy Scouts meet
Mondays and participate in special activities at the
Seven Mountains Scout Camp, on the Juniata River and
other locations.
