Weekly Worship
Service
Our worship services
allow us to praise God from whom all blessings flow. A
message, special music, the singing of hymns, prayers,
and congregational responses are all part of our worship
services.
Modeled in the
reformed understanding of worship, we come not only as an
audience but as active participants.
We worship at 10:30
a.m. from the Sunday following Labor Day through the
month of June and at 10 a.m. in the
summertime.
A supervised nursery
service is provided at all worship services for our
youngsters.
However, we encourage
school-age children to participate with their parents in
our worship services. Then midway through the service we
welcome the children to gather together on the sanctuary
steps for a special children's sermon and then depart for
Junior Church, which includes Bible stories.
Communion is
celebrated by children and adults seven times annually,
coinciding with the start of the new year, Lent, Maundy
Thursday, Pentecost, in the summer, World Communion Day
and Advent.
Our Adventures in
Worship series is a special opportunity to worship the
Lord. The special worship experience includes guest
ministers and is highlighted with special
music.
We also participate
with Lewistown churches of many denominations in special
community services, such as Good Friday services,
Thanksgiving and a Service of Christian
Unity.
